BACK ONE OUT
PUNK ROCK METAL, FROM ITALY
Back One Out is a punk/rock/metal project born in Livorno (Italy) in November 2002. After several years of live activity, in 2006 the band released their first album Helpless, featuring pop/punk sounds with hardcore influences, mastered in the USA by Alan Douches (Fall Out Boy, Alkaline Trio). This was followed by numerous concerts throughout Italy and shared stages with international bands such as Strung Out and 7 Seconds.
In 2012, they released their second album Swallowed by Future, with a more aggressive sound, preceded by the single My Solitude. The following year, they released It Could Be Worth It, which was also performed during a European tour. In 2016, the lineup changed completely, leaving vocalist and drummer Alberto Velgi as the only original member. He revived the project in 2020 with the album Reborn.
After a break, the band became active again in 2024 with performances in Italy and abroad, including a slot at the Riverside Festival alongside Rise Against and others. In October, they released new singles including No Romance (Live Studio Session) and an acoustic version of Letters from September. In December, Bitter End was released.
Starting in 2025, the band became a power duo composed of Alberto Velgi (vocals/drums) and Raffaele Marra (guitar, bass, backing vocals). Their first single with the new lineup, Anthem of the Lost, was released on June 20th, 2025. On October 10th, the second single, Don’t Let Me Drown, came out, anticipating their new album Evolve, set to be released on January 16th, 2026. In support of Evolve, throughout 2026 the band will embark on a European tour, performing on club and festival stages across Europe. Among these is the Summerside Festival, where they will share the stage with leading acts from the global rock and metal scene such as Electric Callboy, Drowning Pool, Billy Talent, Helloween, P.O.D., and many others, marking a new and ambitious chapter in their artistic journey.
